Seeking a Maintenance Technician for a property management company, with multiple properties, in the East County and South Bay of San Diego. Residential and Commercial properties require a reliable Maintenance Technician to run properly and efficiently. Our Technicians see to the daily operations of the physical buildings and grounds. Some of the duties will include: - The cleaning and repair of units between tenant occupancy - Make repairs to the interior and exterior of buildings - Painting, including everything from minor touchups to full repaints - Drywall repair including: repair of holes and spray texture, new drywall installation when occasionally needed, etc. - Electrical: repair and installation of light switched, wall sockets, ceiling light, climate control systems, etc. - Completing service requests for repairs in a timely manner as outlined by Supervisor - General maintenance performed on: HVAC systems, plumbing, sprinklers, appliances, etc. - Appliance repair including: repairing or installing all household appliances - Assist and report to Supervisor with a positive attitude - Following multi step directions *This is a sampling of common duties and should not be construed as a complete list* Candidates MUST have: - Reliable Transportation - Clean DMV Record - Be Fluent in English - Good work ethics - Be able to follow directions with a good attitude - Willingness to work Candidate MUST meet the following physical requirements: - Have the ability to lift 50 pounds, on a regular basis - Have normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination - Be comfortable and able to complete tasks that include: Extensive standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, lifting, gripping, bending and climbing of stairs. What to have for higher end pay consideration: - Applicable experience - Ability to perform minor plumbing repairs - Advanced working knowledge of trade tools and equipment. Such as: Blowers, pressure washers, power tools, etc. - Hands on knowledge of: Painting, minor electric repair, spray texture, new construction, structural carpentry, finished framing, minor concrete work, landscaping, etc. *The more experience, the higher consideration for pay. Although, please note: we are willing to train for the right candidate.* Benefits include: - 95% of medical insurance paid by our company (coverage starts 60 days after employment). 5% will be deducted weekly from your pay check if you choose to accept our medical plan. (Specific plan offered is always subject to change by discretion of management.) - Tools provided for all jobs. You will never be asked to buy or bring any personal tools. - Accrued Paid Time Off and Holidays (Begins after 1 year of employment, not including the mandatory 3 days sick pay per the state of CA at date of hire.) - Paid drive time between job sites. If you are hired in a position that requires you to drive between our properties you will be paid for that time. You will also be paid per mile (if you are driving your personal vehicle) according to the current mileage rate published yearly by the Internal Revenue Service. *Mileage is only paid if no ride share is available.
