Would you be interested in an open mic?

Hello, I see a lot of adds on craigslist, but sometimes you do not know how things will work until you meet someone. Would anyone be interested in a sort of open mic or jam session for all instruments and styles for everyone to meet? Kind of like a musician mixer, where you can play some music live, hear some music live, talk to multiple people / groups in the same event and tell everyone what instrument you are looking for for your band, or what instrument you would like to play in a band, etc. An open mic, but with the intent of finding band mates rather than just performing. Let me know if you would or would not be interested in something like this and how frequently you would go. Would you go only until you filled your vacant slot or found your band? If I get enough interest I might be up for organizing something like this. Thoughts?
