For years now they've been saying "follow the science", and that "facts are stubborn things" right? So, why is it that Hayward area Recreation and Parks (https://www.haywardrec.org) still feels the need to keep the basketball hoops torn down from the basketball courts? I mean, everybody knows that the CDC has already stated covid does not survive on hard surfaces for more than a few minutes, especially in the sun. So, if a couple of kids want to show up and shoot some hoops for a bit with their own basketball... to get some exercise and some sunshine that strengthens the immune system in response to a "deadly virus" that kills those with a compromised immune system, where is the logic in that? We have been able to fly on airplanes, gamble in casinos, handle nasty ATM machines and fuel pump payment terminals nationwide the entire "pandemic". But kids really are not "allowed" to play basketball in the sun... still!? How long will we tolerate and cling to this massive bullshit story? Call or email these folks (that are funded through homeowner's property tax) and let them know your thoughts!
