Scampers Daycamp for Dogs on Bel-Red Road in Bellevue is looking for Rock Solid Dog Wrangling staff for morning and afternoon shifts. If you're available right away, you can start right away. If you love dogs and think you can handle working with a great number of them in a pack environment, possess lots of positive energy, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team. Wrangling at Scampers is a great option for people with prior experience in animal care - you may have experience as a groomer, vet tech, or in rescue work - who would like a change of pace; although we welcome people of all backgrounds. We only ask that you treat the dogs with love and kindness, work hard and stay busy, and that you have a rock-solid work ethic. You will be a member of a team monitoring a group of dogs and maintaining a safe and clean play environment. Our weekend staffers and evening staffers, on the other hand, must be able to work independently. You will also be participating in all the cleaning tasks - vacuuming, mopping, washing walls, etc. - at day's end. Some notes on working with us: - Remember that rock-solid work ethic we talked about? It's important! If you're on the schedule, it's because you are a crucial member of a carefully assembled team working to keep everyone (canines and humans) safe. - Absolutely reliability is also an absolute must - whether you commute by bus, car or Uber doesn't matter, but we need you to get to your shift, and on time! - We spend a lot of time outside and weather conditions change. This is the Pacific Northwest, after all. Be prepared to enjoy the elements with a positive attitude. - Dog wrangling is a physically demanding job. You will be on your feet all day. There are moments of strenuous work between long periods of quiet, but you must be able to stay focused. You need to be prepared to run, but also have fun.
