LaJoy Group is eagerly seeking Production Leads who are responsible and dependable with a positive, upbeat personality. You must also be a team player who is always reliable, on time with a solid work ethic, and a commitment to consistent attendance. The Production Lead Person is responsible for giving timely breaks to the employees in the production area. Follow policies and procedures, including all Aunt Millie’s Food Safety and HACCP procedures which are critical to product safety, legality, and quality. Also required to learn all production positions and help with supervisor duties/learn to cover if a supervisor is out. Production Duties: 1. Monitor quality constantly. 2. Know and understand Bread Sponge Mixer, Bun Mixer, Extruder, and Oven positions. 3. Give breaks in a timely manner. 4. Perform all quality control checks while giving breaks. 5. Assist with all changeovers at the Extruder and Pan-o-mat. 6. Keep supervisor aware of any inconsistencies. 7. Communicate effectively and clearly with all operators you relieve. 8. Any and all other duties deemed necessary by supervision. 9. A drug screen will be required; LaJoy Group adheres to state laws on certain recreational drug use, however, use or impairment of any kind during work hours is strictly prohibited. Sanitation Duties: 1. Properly Lock out / Tag out any applicable equipment before cleaning. 2. Empty all trash from the production area at the end of your shift. 3. Keep areas clean while giving breaks. 4. Any and all other duties deemed necessary by supervision. The above duties are to be performed during normal bakery operations. All employees must follow established GMP’s and written and spoken safety rules at all times. Any concerns should be directed to a supervisor immediately. Compensation of a Production Lead: $19.50/Hour This job requires (or may require) a criminal background check.
