Job Description: Viva Pools is hiring multiple lifeguards/swim coaches for a swimming pool located in Alexandria, VA 22303. Period: June 21st – August 23rd, 2021 We offer: Full-time and Part-time opportunities Pay rate depending on experience - up to $18/hour Growth within the company and year-around opportunities Responsibilities: - Ensure safety of all pool patrons in and around the swimming pool - Maintains constant surveillance of all swimmers in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of swimmers in the event of emergency - Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. - Maintains water balance and daily logs - Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. - Monitor activities at the pool to maintain safety and prevent accidents. - Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards; enforces and adheres to pool rules and regulations. - Teaches campers the basics of swim instruction and water safety - for the coaches - Inspect facilities for cleanliness, completes general pool cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a healthy and safe facility. - Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Requirements: We are looking for candidates who are experienced, have a positive attitude, and are dependable. A skills test will be required prior to beginning employment. Certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification CPR and First Aid Certification This position is subject to a criminal background investigation.
