Habitat Gardens is a small landscape design and installation business based in NE Portland. We are seeking a part-time landscape installer to join our crew. Our ideal candidate will have at least one year experience in landscape installation, construction, nursery work, or garden maintenance. We are seeking a great team player who takes direction well from our project managers and designers on a wide range of installation projects. Job duties include planting, pruning, excavation, and assisting with hardscape installation, including moving large amounts of soil and gravel, stone and, and installing pavers. Applicants must be able to lift heavy materials (50-100 lbs) on a regular basis throughout the day. Pay starts at $16 and increases with experience. Hours will be approximately 20-25 hours a week. Most work will take place between 9 and 5 pm and days are flexible week to week depending on our projects. If travel between job sites is needed during the day, employees will be compensated for their mileage. The opportunity to grow into a full time position with health benefits is an option over time.
