Job Title: Furniture Mover-Driver Department: Furniture Supervisor: Operations Manager Job Summary Drive box truck, load furniture on and off the truck, into and out of apartments, as we set up and tear down apartments during short-term guest stays. Organize warehouse, organize storages units, some furniture repair and maintenance. Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities • Current Driver’s License and clean driving record to drive a vehicle in the company fleet daily • Attention to detail and skilled organization • Good verbal and written communication skills • Knowledge of phone app’s to send company emails and photos to supervisor from apartments • Pass a back-ground check Ability to work effectively with all personality types • Ability to work independently • Ability to lift 50+ pounds • Ability to perform such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, walking, sitting, and carry repetitively and for long periods of time • Move furniture into and out of apartments • Assemble and arrange furniture • Drive/Operate Furniture Truck • Operate Shampooer and Shampoo Carpets • Program Televisions • Program Remote Controls • Program Internet Routers • Cable and Internet connection knowledge Job Duties and Tasks • Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm • Normal work scheduling will not occur on weekends, but special circumstances may require occasional evening or weekend work • Paragon logo shirt to be supplied by employer • No sandals or open-toed shoes should be worn at any time • Steel toed shoes or boots are recommended, but not required • Work closely with the Operation Manager to ensure each apartment furnishings, cable and internet have been set up and is ready for the guest’s arrival • Maintain truck cleanliness interior and exterior • Keep truck box and warehouse area organized • Inventories furniture stock to ensure adequate supplies and reports deficiencies to Operations Manager Expectations • Drivers should maintain appropriate, friendly attitudes and should be courteous to clients and fellow employees. • Perform all other duties as required or asked by Operation Manager such as inspecting apartments or returning to apartments to reclean • Help others when job duties are slow, possibly inspect apartments, help in laundry, etc.
