Description

We are seeking a full-time employee to maintain our private Estate grounds and exterior of buildings, including lawns, gardens, drives and walks, pool area, garages, etc. Position will report to homeowners and Estate Manager. Grounds/Landscape/Exterior Maintenance responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: • Maintenance of Estate Grounds including all exterior areas • Landscape Services including Maintenance and Improvements (very limited mowing) • Irrigation Operation and Maintenance/Repairs of Broken Pipes, Replacing Heads • Hand Watering Plants in Pots and Gardens where there is No Irrigation • Helping Maintain Cleanliness of Exterior Buildings, Structures, and Equipment • Proactively Identifying and Preventing Problems • Assisting with and Performing Basic Light Maintenance and Repairs • Raking/Blowing Leaves & Debris on Lawn, in Gardens/Beds, on Walks/Driveways • Weeding, Planting, Mulching, Gardening, Lawn Care • Trimming/Pruning Trees, Hedges, Vines, and Other Plants • Winterizing & Preparing Outdoors for Bad Weather • Sweeping/Mopping Patios and Dusting Outdoor Furniture and Light Fixtures • Fertilizing and Treating for Ants and Pests • Replacing Burnt Out Landscape Light Bulbs • Maintaining a Clean, Attractive Environment for Guests • Power Washing Stone Surfaces • Cleaning Fountains and Skimming Pools between Pool Service Visits • Washing Vehicles • Moving and Stacking Firewood • Ordering and Maintaining Supplies and Inventory • Maintaining Clean and Organized Equipment and Supply Storage Areas/Garages • Collecting Daily Trash and Setting Out Weekly Trash for Pickup • Assisting Management, Employees, and Vendors with Special Projects • Interacting with Vendors and Assisting in Communicating Project Requirements • Writing Up Instructions/Procedures on How Job Tasks are Done • Other Support and Activities as Deemed Necessary by Management Requirements/Skills Needed: Legally able to work in the United States Fluent in English (both spoken and written); Bilingual in Spanish a plus Good Communicator/Collaborative Pleasant, Considerate, and Polite Organized/Efficient Must have great attention to detail Ability to function with limited direction or oversight Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation Must have a cell phone for easy access 5+ years of verifiable, related work experience (landscaping, lawncare, nursery, cleaning, etc.) Knowledge of local plants and proper landscape maintenance practices Able to pass criminal background check, credit check, and drug test Reliable/Long-Term Commitment Trustworthy/Discrete/Honest/Able to uphold Strict Privacy and Confidentiality Requirements Able to supply 3 non-family references Non-Smoker/Non-Vapor Good mobility with ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend, or reach for extended periods of time Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions including hot, humid, wet, cold, etc. Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds Familiar with basic garden/maintenance equipment and tools Local Applicants Only – No Relocation Job Type: Full Time (Approximately 40 hours per week) - may also consider part time fixed 3-day schedule Job Categories: Groundskeeper, Landscaper, Gardener, Property Maintenance, Estate Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience; Negotiable Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (with occasional evenings or weekends for special projects)
