Summary: Seeking for a Journeyman Foreman with certification is a PLUS. If you have experience in Residential and/or Commercial, then look no further and apply to ALBD. We have job sites in both Orange and LA County. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Responsible for accurately reading and interprets electrical blueprints for proper installation.* 2. Leads one to two apprentice Electricians.* 3. Plans out and installs conduit varying in size from 1/2 in. to 6 in.* 4. Responsible for possessing all necessary hand tools.* 5. Responsible for daily communication with Foreman on progress.* 6. Tracks materials used and plans and orders materials with Foreman.* 7. Responsible for properly installing switchgear, panels and transformers.* 8. Responsible for understanding lighting and installation.* 9. Responsible for possessing a thorough understanding of the NEC.* 10. Reads and understands schematic and wiring diagrams.* 11. Responsible for supervising installation of non-electrified electrical components including EMT, flex and MC cable.* 12. Assists in installation of electrical panels, disconnects and switchgear.* 13. Assists in pulling large electrical cable.* 14. Responsible for installing outlets and switches.* 15. Responsible for bending basic offsets and 90 degrees with ½ in., ¾ in. and 1 in. EMT.* 16. Responsible for knowing basic code including wire fill, wire size, grounding and conduit stripping.* 17. Responsible for knowing and understanding basic lighting and electrical symbols on blueprints.* 18. Installs and properly wires light fixutres.* Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises four employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education/Experience: More than four years related experience and/or training.
