Help remove kudzu vines from the Mount Vernon Trail Bridge by the old power plant in Alexandria. Meet on the trail near the power plant bridge. Address provided is for reference. Come help remove kudzu and porcelain berry around the bridge by the old power plant in Alexandria. Volunteers removed years worth of vines last year to restore views from the bridge and clear sightlines. We'll be out to remove new growth to prevent the bridge from being covered in vines again. Volunteers may perform the following tasks: Cutting and pulling vinesBagging vinesWhat to Bring: Work gloves (we'll have gloves to borrow)Pruners and loppers (we'll have pruners to borrow)SunscreenWaterA face coveringCovid Safety: We'll follow the current CDC guidance at the time of the event.
