John had kicked heroin and it seemed safe for Jeff to give it a try. What came to life was the achingly beautiful batch of songs that landed them a record deal with Caroline Records and the rest is history. The critics gushed about the Los Angeles duo and the beginnings of a cult following was born. But alas, John got back into drugs and got kicked out of the band. Jeff Martin forged on (and off) for the next 3 decades. He's put a new band together and is ready to light up the stage again to support the soon to be released 10th Idaho full length. Also of note: A director named Mark Davis will submit his documentary "Traces of Glory" about Idaho's unique story to music festivals this year. Mute Forest bio: Hailing from the Rocky Mountains, Kael Smith’s Mute Forest grafts lush and verdant guitar textures with filtered electronic elements.
