In our ongoing partnership with the HopeFest Action Committee to show solidarity and host a much-needed conversation between our AAPI and African American communities, MOAPIA will be hosting its 2nd event titled “Dinnertime Talks.”

Reverend Thomas Bowen, Director, Mayor's Office of Religious Affairs and Mayor's Office on African American Affairs Dr. Kimberly Jeffries Leonard, Chair, DC Commission on African American Affairs Jocelyn Law-Yone, Chef and Co-Owner, Thamee Akil Vohra, Executive Director, AALEAD *Sala Thai will permit a maximum of 25 people in the restaurant at one time, so the event is first come, first served*

MOAPIA’s mission is to improve the quality of life for District Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through advocacy and engagement. MOAPIA advises the Mayor, the Council, and District agencies on the views, needs, and concerns of the AAPI community. MOAPIA provides recommendations on District programs and initiatives affecting the AAPI community, and helps coordinate programs and initiatives within the government that promote the overall welfare of the AAPI community.
