Join Beausoleil Books & The Whisper Room in honoring the LGBTQIA+ experience in Lafayette during our first annual Pride Day! Beausoleil Books will be hosting its first annual Pride Day on June 26. The day will be packed with events, contests, and prizes, so stay tuned for updates. At 11:30, in The Whisper Room, we will be hosting a discussion of our Book du Mois, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong. At 1:30, in The Whisper Room, we will be hosting a Beau Tricot community crafting hour. At 4pm, in Beausoleil Books, we will be hosting a panel of speakers to discuss the queer experience in Lafayette and answer questions. This event will be pay what you can, and a portion of the profits will be donated to a local LGBT+ charity At 7pm, in The Whisper Room, we will be hosting Pride Trivia Night. Team of four may enter the contest for a small fee of $5/team. A portion of the profits will be donated to a local LGBT+ charity. The winners will received limited edition Beausoleil Pride Day prizes. Following Trivia will be our Pride after-party in The Whisper Room. All day the Whisper Room will be serving Pride Punch, there will be a photo booth set up along with a photo competition, and a community art project.
