We are a Restoration company looking for Handyman with experience in tarping to join our team. We are offering part time positions and short-term (seasonal). Our company specializes in repair and restoration services following water, fire and smoke damage, as well as mold removal & remediation. We provide 24/7 emergency response to perform all phases of restoration, from cleanup, contents restoration, structural repairs, and mold mitigation. Handyman performs general building repairs (basic plumbing and electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, lighting, flooring and demolition), operate hand and power tools of all types, follows all established procedures and safety guidelines, completes the project in established time frame and ensures that the client is satisfied. EXPERIENCE: • Repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. • Scale the tops of a property to seal leaky roofs to make them watertight. Full inspection, determinate area and install tarp. • Apply plasterboard or other wallboard to ceilings or interior walls of buildings. • Install or repair cables or wires used in electrical power. • Line and cover structures with insulating materials. • Paint surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns or remove old paint to prepare surface prior to painting. • Seal joints between plasterboard or other wallboard to prepare wall surface for painting or papering. • Repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems. • Cover roofs of structures with tarps. • Apply hard tile, marble, and wood tile to walls, floors, ceilings, and roof decks. QUALIFICATIONS: • Able to take and follow direct instructions. • Honest, hardworking, responsible, detail oriented. • Punctual / On Time / Arrive at customer site as scheduled. • Great with customer service. • Willing to communicate with management to report project status, updates, issues, or concerns. • Able to perform manual labor with no restrictions, which may include but will not be limited to lifting, carrying, climbing, crawling, repetitive motion. • Able to work in non-climate-controlled environments, occasionally in moderate heat. REQUIREMENTS • Must have reliable vehicle. • Clean and valid driver's license (no stipulations). • Must be able to TRAVEL TO JOB SITES to perform work. • Assignments may require some overtime, weekend work, and travel / work at remote locations.
