Join us for the 13th Annual Forest Park Juneteenth Family Pool Party on June 19, 2021 from 7pm -10:30pm at the Forest Park Aquatic Center! Since 2008, Forest Park Mayor Rory Hoskins and a dedicated group of residents have organized the annual Juneteenth Family Pool Party in Forest Park. This year the Juneteenth celebration will have special significance for the Village of Forest Park and municipalities throughout the state of Illinois as the bill to make Juneteenth, or "National Freedom Day," a state holiday is awaiting Governor Pritzer's signature. Since 2003, Juneteenth has been recognized as a Day of Observance. The Juneteenth Family Pool Party will be held at the Forest Park Aquatic Center located at 7501 Harrison Street, on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 7pm to 10:30 pm (rain date TBD). Based on current safety guidelines, the pool will have limited capacity (max of 200 guests and 6 per household to allow as any families to attend as possible). As an added bonus this year, we will be featuring the blockbuster film, Black Panther, on the park district lawn at 8 pm. Please note that we will continue to monitor and adhere to all state and local guidelines with regards to the COVID-19.
