Course Announcement: Contemporary Base Issues (CBI)JFHQ-NE Lincoln, NE (12-13 August, 2021)PLEASE ENSURE WIDEST DISTRIBUTION TO ALL PERSONNEL CBI Lincoln, NE: Major General Dan Bunch, The Air National Guard Assistant to The Judge Advocate General, United States Air Force, cordially invites and encourages all officers, NCOs, and other support personnel to the upcoming CBI course scheduled for 12-13 August 2021, hosted by the JFHQ-NE. All instruction will take place in the Graduate Hotel, 141 N. 9th St, Lincoln, NE 68508. OVERVIEW: The primary goal of the CBI course is to prepare all Air National Guard officers, NCOs, and future leaders to work together as a team to identify and respond to contemporary base issues. Topics will be discussed via lecture and student interaction over a two-day period. Course instruction begins at 0730 and ends at approximately 1630 each day. ORDERS/FUNDING: This message is sufficient justification for orders to attend this course. Local unit training (not school) funds should be used. UOD: OCPs, flight suits, or any combination of blues are authorized. REGISTRATION: Register at https://angcbine.eventbrite.com. If you are a traditional guardsman, please provide a regularly checked email address. If you have trouble registering using a government network, use a personal computer or mobile devise. If you do not receive a confirmation email within an hour after registering (check spam/junk folder), email [email protected]. TRAVEL/LODGING: Each registrant is responsible for his/her own travel reservations. If applicable, travel days are 11 August 2021 and 14 August 2021. The Lincoln Airport (LNK) is the closest major airport. Omaha Airport (OMA) is 75 miles away. Rental cars for members traveling from outside the local area are highly encouraged as there will not be any shuttle services provided either to/from the airport to lodging or to/from lodging to the course venue. The host unit has confirmed government rates are available at the: The Graduate, (402) 475-4011, 141 N. 9th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508. Parking is provided in attached parking garage. LANDING FEE/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The registration team will collect a $10 landing fee Friday morning, prior to the start of the course, to cover the light snacks and beverages to be made available on Friday and Saturday. All meals will be "on your own" during the course; there are a number of eateries in and about the local area within reasonable driving distance. Note-taking/reference materials will be provided; no preliminary work is required to attend this course. Registration will be open by 0630 on Friday to allow all attendees enough time to check-in, pay the landing fee, receive all course materials, and be in a seat by the start of the course at 0730.
