Join us for a fun Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser for SUDEP Awareness Space is limited. September 11, 2021 What a better way to spend the afternoon than to play cornhole for a good cause? Party with a purpose and support #doit4Jax SUDEP Awareness. Event starts at 11:30 am with an opening ceremony. Cornhole tournament starts at 12:30 pm. Refer to our Facebook for more event details. Cornhole Games will be in bracket format (pre-registration is preferred): Pre-Register your two-person team for $60 by June 30, 2021 and you will get two raffle tickets for a drawing during event plus two drink tickets. (After June 30, 2021 team tickets will still be available at higher price) There are two team types to pre-register for: Competitive Teams - Cash prizes = 1st place $500, 2nd place $300, 3rd place $150Social Teams - Cash prizes = 1st place $125, 2nd place $75, 3rd place $60 Why We Need To Act Now: • More than 65 million people worldwide have epilepsy, a neurological condition that affects the nervous system and causes seizures. • Among those living with epilepsy, nearly one-third have ongoing seizures despite existing therapies. • Each year, more than 1 out of 1,000 people with epilepsy die from sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). • If seizures are uncontrolled, the risk of SUDEP increases to more than 1 out of 150. • SUDEP is the leading cause of death in young adults with uncontrolled seizures.
