Join us for an Afternoon Tea and Silent Auction for this year's Power of the Purse, benefitting Dolly Parton's Imagination Library programs. The Power of the Purse, hosted by Women United, will benefit Dolly Parton's Imagination Library programs in Clarke and Oconee counties this year. This year's event will be an Afternoon Tea and Silent Auction, featuring parents of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library recipients, supporting organizations and our featured speaker, Maria Balais, an author, artist, speaker and leader. As in years past, this event will feature a silent auction of new or gently used handbags, jewelry, gift baskets and cards from local businesses, and other items, all auctioned to support kindergarten readiness in our community.  We hope to see you at this year's event! This year promises to be better than ever, knowing we can be back together safely while also understanding now more than ever the importance of educational resources freely available to our local children. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program mails a new, age-appropriate book each month to children from birth to age five in these two counties. United Way of Northeast Georgia envisions a region where every man, woman, and child has access to quality education, financial stability, and a healthy lifestyle. We work with stakeholders across multiple sections, including schools, local governments, businesses, financial institutions, neighborhood associations, faith communities, and others, we can focus on improving community conditions for all in the Northeast Georgia region. United Way of Northeast Georgia serves Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Franklin, Greene, Hart, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties. United Way of Northeast Georgia is locally managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and is one of over 1,800 local United Ways in the United States.
