Signature event of the 6th Annual Heritage Week Annual event honoring notable Kansas Citians for contributions in the public realm Signature event of the 6th Annual Heritage Week Annual Dinner honoring notable Kansas Citians for contributions and accomplishments in the public realm. The 2021 Stockyards Legends Dinner Honorees are renowned landscapist Wilbur Niewald and historic preservationist and developer Bill Haw who will be recognized and honored for their leadership and significant accomplishments throughout their storied careers. The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception followed by dinner at  the iconic Golden Ox and an entertaining celebration of our honorees. Previous honorees include Octave Chanute and former Mayor Sly James.
