PROPERTY MAINTENANCE FOREMAN Location: Shreveport, LA Industry: Property Maintenance Contractor Hours: Seasonal/Permanent, 32+ hours per week Salary: D.O.E. Description: We seek a seasonal Property Maintenance Foreman to train and perform land care maintenance services on client properties. Responsibilities: Second to Report to Shop/Designated Location to review the day's work with the Land Care Managers & Project Managers Communicate schedules with clients & labor force Prep Trucks & equipment. Follow Inventory Procedures Openly receive training for field needs, safety, equipment, technique, etc. Operations, quality control, training, punctuality, and safety Appropriating all tools, fuel, and other necessary equipment/materials Checking truck oil, fluids, tire pressure, proper trailer connection, and all lights/brakes are in working condition Training and managing landscape and maintenance tasks on client properties Ensure work contracted is implemented efficiently and according to the contracted specifications Lead team associated with the maintenance of lawns and cleanups Performing and training all tasks of operations including but not limited to scheduling, planning, coaching, mowing, line trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking, mulch installation, cleanup, land clearing, and bush hogging Implement the proper use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment and ergonomic practices of the crews Address questions or concerns with the clients as needed. Contact supervisor with unknowns. Communicate customer opportunities immediately with their Account Representative Track field labor. Verify all job site reports are completed & confirm all sales opportunities are being reported Review crew's week’s scheduled work and confirm preparation is completed for the next day’s jobs every evening Lead crew in unloading/loading equipment and materials Wash dirty equipment {including all mower decks} and return to approved storage location. Report damaged or broken equipment to management immediately, and schedule equipment drop off at shop location for repair Fill trucks, mowers, equipment, and cans with fuel additive & fuel in preparation for the next day (or as necessary) Strict adherence to the company's employee manual & procedures as required from all employees Accurate Job Reporting Equipment Maintenance Safety enhancement program coordinator Field work and training Educational requirements: High School diploma or GED preferred Experience requirements: Must be 18+ years old Valid drivers license Good driving record Reliable transportation and current proof of insurance 1+ years prior land care management experience desired Ability to read & write English, including maps & diagrams. Desired Skills: Strong organizational skills Complete appropriate paperwork and reports High quality customer service Follow directions and process/procedures High level communication skills Bi-lingual is very beneficial Qualifications: Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels Highly motivated quick learner Drug free work environment, a random drug test policy is in force Ability to lift 60+ lbs consistently throughout the day. High attention to detail…the customer doesn’t see what we do, they see what we don’t do that they paid for. High ability to deal with ambiguity in a high stress environment while keeping your composure on and off the job. Available to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays) in any and all adverse weather conditions. Stoop, stand and bend for 10+ hours a day.
