Description

ROCKVILLE, MD — Students worldwide faced unprecedented disruptions to learning this year, making learning retention a larger concern than in other years. Montgomery County Public Schools is offering its annual summer programs to help students hold onto what they've already learned and prepare for the next grade. Registration for the summer programs ends Friday, June 4. The programs will run five days per week for about 4.5 hours a day at no cost to students, and transportation is provided. For high school credit, the courses will run for three weeks in two sessions, the first beginning June 28. Elementary and middle school programs run from July 6 to July 30. Title I programs run from July 6 to Aug. 6. Parents should have heard directly from their home school about programs being offered. Most in-person course offerings require registration directly with the school, but parents can sign their students up for virtual programs online or through email. Most of the classes will focus on math, reading, or enrichment. Find more information on how to register on the Montgomery County Public Schools website.
