Father's Day Fishing Tournament (For Miami Lakes Residents only.) The Town of Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee presents the Father’s Day Fishing Tournament. This Miami Lakes tradition is hosted so children can enjoy Father’s Day while having fun during our “social distancing” fishing tournament. Each contestant will be provided with a fishing kit that consists of a bait bucket, 12 live baitfish, an oxygen tablet (good for 4 hours), and an official fish measuring ruler provided by One Stop Marine. Pick up your reserved fishing kit on Saturday, June 19 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Miami Lakes Optimist Park Marina located at 6411 NW 162nd St. CATCH & RELEASE FISHING TOURNAMENT RULES The fish has to have been caught on hook and line.The fish has to have been caught within town limits.The length of the fish has to have been measured using the official measuring device (provided in the fishing kit).Fish must be released, alive, immediately.All fish must be caught during the hours of the competition (9:00 AM-2:00 PM).Visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) website for more information on Freshwater Fishing. https://myfwc.com/fishing/freshwater/regulations/ WINNING CATEGORIES Youngest FishermanOldest FishermanSmallest Fish CaughtBiggest Fish CaughtMost Fish CaughtBest Overall Fisherman Best Fishing TeamTo submit your official entry please upload photos using this link: http://bit.ly/2021MLFishingTournament.
