ASCM naturalists will lead small groups in a socially distant tour of Fred Archibald wildlife sanctuary.
Join us for a Bob Schaefer Series Nature Walk, sponsored by the Audubon Society of Central Maryland. ASCM naturalists will lead small groups in a socially distant tour of our Fred Archibald Audubon wildlife sanctuary. We will be searching for orioles and many other birds and learning to listen for their songs to help spot them. A Wood Thrush is one of the many species we may see on this month's nature walk. We may also see butterflies and dragonflies.
People of all ages are welcome to explore the sanctuary with us! Please help us comply with public health guidelines: Maintain distance from those who are not in your party, and if you are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, we ask that you wear a mask. Stay home if you are feeling ill.
No restroom facilities are available. The walk will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
The event is free and no registration is required, but donations are always welcome to help us maintain our beautiful sanctuaries and support all of our efforts to help us make a home for birds. Thank you!
