Duties include identifying problems, finding cost-saving resolutions, determines design and materials needed for new construction and defines appropriate maintenance and repair for work needed. Performs repair and maintenance of broilers, sinks, shower fixtures, drains, toilets, water heaters, sprinkler systems and other related needs of the casino, determines cost and estimated time needed to complete work assignments, directs all repairs, installation, maintenance and ordering of plumbing equipment, reads and interprets blueprints and maintains inventory of supplies and parts necessary to maintain the facility. May use camera monitoring equipment when necessary to repair plumbing issues, provides training, direction and guidance to plumbers and maintenance workers, and provides feedback and information to Facilities Site Manager to assist with staff performance evaluations. Effectively communicates with outside vendors, contractors and consultants when necessary, establishes code compliance and ensures OSHA requirements are adhered to in all aspects of the job. Performs additional job related duties as assigned by the department manager. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalency in related field (Boilers License) is required Experience & Requirements: Must have a minimum of five years plumbing experience Five years experience providing direction and training to maintenance and facilities staff Additional education and or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical labor for prolonged periods of time Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, push, pull on a repetitive basis Must be able to work in confined spaces Must be able to work around hazardous fumes, gases, and variable weather conditions Must be comfortable working above or below floor level Must be able to effectively communicate with staff Must have good hand and finger dexterity and have good eye sight to view and inspect plumbing issues Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Upon offer must obtain Class IIIA Gaming License ($273 - $335) Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
