I teach a structured 1-year curriculum devoted to learning the various World Bass stylings of the world.
I was the bass player for Oakland Afro-Latin band La Misa Negra for 3 years:

Also played bass with Berkeley's La Pena Latin Jazz Ensemble and the Kent State University African Ensemble.
I studied at the Berkeley Jazzschool.
I play upright and electric.
Lessons are good for beginners or intermediate-advanced players who are looking for inspiration or new ideas.
Lessons start with Blues/Jazz and progress to Cuban/Cumbia/Bossa/Afro-Peruvian/African Styles/New Orleans/Balkan Styles.
Lessons also incorporate how to write basslines, intonation, and technique.
I have some students finishing this summer and will have openings beginning in August.
$40/lesson.
Remote or at my apartment in Fremont.
Will also be willing to come to you for $75/lesson.
Peace.
