CHICAGO, IL — A wrong-way crash on the Dan Ryan claimed the lives of a Naperville man and a Chicago woman Saturday morning, according to multiple news outlets.
A third person sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the three-car crash, which took place near 63rd Street just before 11 a.m.
Police say the Naperville man, identified as Douglas Memler, 53, was driving a gold Chevrolet Equinox northbound in the Dan Ryan's southbound lanes and hit a semi and a Nissan Sentra head-on. The Equinox's driver and the Sentra's passenger, Teresa Sandoval, 66, of Chicago, were taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead, Daily Herald reports.
The Sentra's driver, a 66-year-old man, was treated at a nearby hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to ABC 7.
