Description

JOLIET, IL — Felony charges of robbery and mob action were filed last week by the Will County State's Attorney's Office against 19-year-old Joliet resident Amarion Denwiddie. The criminal complaint from Joliet police states that Denwiddie robbed a juvenile of their cellular phone on April 26, and he did it with force and threatening the use of force. The mob action charge states that Denwiddie engaged the use of force or violence "in that he and the other persons he was acting together with surrounded (a juvenile) and took (the victim's) cellular phone and attacked and struck (the victim) about his body." Denwiddie lives in the 100 block of North Raynor Avenue, court records show. Will County Judge Ken Zelazo issued a warrant for Denwiddie's arrest on May 25. Bail has been set at $60,000. As of June 1, Denwiddie had not been taken into custody by Joliet police in connection with the three felony charges he is now facing.
