MILL VALLEY, CA — Fire crews made quick work of a Mill Valley vegetation blaze Monday afternoon according to Southern Marin Fire.
The brush fire first reported at around 2 p.m. in the area of Escalon Drive triggered a shelter-in-place advisory.
No injuries or property damage were reported.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
The shelter advisory went into effect in the immediate area of Escalon Drive and residents were advised to be ready to evacuate by emergency personnel door knocks, Mill Valley police said.
The shelter alert was lifted shortly afterward and Escalon Drive residents were allowed to return to their homes but had to park on Overhill Road due to the Escalon Drive closure.
SMF and the Mill Valley Fire Department along with crews from partnering agencies responded to the blaze.
