MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —The long weekend may be over, but do you still want to catch a few waves? Here's an update on surf conditions from Surfline via the South Bay Dawn Patrol. Look for a mix of long-period SW swell and shorter-period NW swell this morning. Winds are light and variable. Surface conditions are clean on waves mainly down in the knee-thigh-waist high zone, while top exposures in the north half of the bay see a little more size. The tide is ebbing out to a -0.1' low at 10:05 a.m. Later today, the surf size will hold fairly steady at most spots, while forerunners of fresh SSW swell will creep in at best breaks. Moderate westerly winds will ruffle conditions most of the afternoon. The tide will top out at a 4.1' high at 5:20 p.m, slowing the smaller surf, then ebbing out towards a 2.4' low at 10:40 p.m. Head over to surfline for daily updates.
