ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst continues to experience its lowest percentage increases in coronavirus cases since the beginning of the pandemic, according to DuPage County Health Department numbers. As of Sunday, the city had 4,386 cases, an increase of 20 cases from the week before, or a 0.5 percent hike. The previous week also saw an increase of 0.5 percent. The number of those who have recovered is unavailable. As of Sunday, the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst increased by two in the last week, to 69. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1.6 percent.
