Description
Position Summary
This role provides effective leadership to maintain and improve manufacturing systems, material and
equipment tracking, and shortage resolution.
Duties
Supervises, establishes and coordinates the production schedules in a factory environment.
Ensures the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between or within departments
Manages inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, and developing methods
and procedures.
Develops short-range planning initiatives for project control group, which includes continuously
evaluating the project needs, capacities, and staffing
Establishes effective communication with various groups such as Planning, Customer
Operations and Procurement to ensure on-time delivery of products.
Manages all aspects of materials flow and maintains control and accuracy over all goods
inventories, including all transactions, planning, scheduling, warehouse, receiving, and shipping
to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time.
Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing an inventory
control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective
action to guard against inconsistencies in the future
Required Experience
3 years of production control/manufacturing processes
and/or facility and equipment maintenance experience is required.
A minimum of four years of experience in directly managing a team
English language.
Thorough knowledge of material planning and shop floor control systems.
Knowledge of master scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, and parts routings
Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing
environment,
Ability to understand inventory management requirements.
