Solano County Moves To Orange Tier: What To Know

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — With a continued decline in coronavirus case rate over the last two weeks, Solano County was cleared Tuesday to move into the State of California's less restrictive Orange Tier effective Wednesday. "We are seeing a substantial decrease in the spread of COVID-19 in our community, therefore enabling us to move down to the next tier and expanding capacity for our businesses," said Dr. Bela Matyas, Solano County public health officer. Solano County's case rate has remained below 6 per 100,000 for the last two weeks, qualifying the county's move from the Red to the Orange tier. Further, COVID-19 related hospitalizations remain low, and 225,477 county residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, county officials said.
