TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Berry man was killed and a Tuscaloosa woman injured in a two-vehicle wreck Monday night at 11:47 p.m. on Highway 69 South, roughly two miles south of the Tuscaloosa city limits. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Dewayne Fred Earnest, 54, was seriously injured when the 2004 Yamaha Motorcycle he was operating struck a 2020 Dodge Challenger driven by a woman from Tuscaloosa. Earnest and the injured woman were both transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, where Earnest died a short time later.
