MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook's baseball team has produced numerous college players, and this year, some of those Mountain Brook alumni will be center stage in the NCAA baseball tournament. Mountain Brook alum Harrison Ware, a catcher for the University of South Alabama, will play in the Gainesville Regional, with his Jags as the no. 3 seed. South Alabama, who won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, will face Miami Friday. Former Spartans Dowd Ritter and Will Yarbro will join their fellow Samford Bulldogs in the Starkville Regional as the no. 4 seed. Samford, the Southern Conference champion, faces Mississippi State Friday.
