Seeking to Fill Two Positions for Farmers Market Delivery Service

Saturday team members to shop, pack and deliver local, sustainable produce and artisan goods. Local Harvest Delivery is looking for two motivated people to join our Saturday team. We deliver harvest boxes filled with local produce and artisanal grocery items to our customers every Saturday. We start around 7:30 am on Saturday to receive orders from local farms and shop at the Santa Barbara farmers market. We then bring it all back to our location where we set up, pack boxes, load delivery van, and cars and deliver all in one day. Saturday. One position involves packing boxes and delivering in your own car and the other position involves packing boxes and delivering in our work van. If you are interested in one of these positions you must meet the following requirements. Please only reply if you meet and agree with ALL. Thank you! 1) WANT to work on Saturdays. Very flexible to do what is needed that Saturday and not afraid of a long workday. 2) Have a car you are willing to use for delivering boxes and picking up orders. (You will be compensated for this) (Also this does not apply if you are interested in our van delivery position) 3) Willing to train and be back up for our work van delivery position which does the bulk of our deliveries. 4) Has a good driving record and valid driver's license. Feel's confident driving and delivering. 5) Has experience working with a team and getting along with others. Can pay attention to details and follow directions carefully. 6) Can lift boxes repeatedly and can be on your feet for a good part of your day. Strong body and back. 7) Once trained are confident that you could pack harvest boxes at a good speed while still being detailed oriented. 8) Must love and eat local produce because a perk of the job is getting a harvest box yourself and getting an employee discount. So you need to use the product and really enjoy the benefit of this. Also, since you will be shopping, packing, and delivering the products we want you to enjoy that and be able to pick out quality items. 9) Must have a smartphone and confidence using the Map/GPS function for deliveries. 10) Live in the local area of Goleta, Santa Barbara, Montecito, or Carpinteria. 11) Must wear a mask and follow other COVID safety procedures we have in place.
