Furniture Installer Job Summary Arctic Office Products is looking for one (1) experienced Furniture Installer to join our team. We are seeking a capable professional to join our team. This role is responsible for loading and unloading the truck, installing furniture according to project directions, and assembling products on-site. This role is responsible for preparing the installation site and cleaning up after the installation is complete. All applicants must have the physical ability to load and unload furniture from the delivery truck. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and you must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical to be able to drive our 16-foot box trucks to various job locations. While it is not required, previous carpentry work is a plus. Experience using hand and power tools is required. Furniture Installer Duties and Responsibilities Load and unload truck Assemble and install furniture in customer offices in timely fashion (Furniture: workstations, systems furniture/cubicles, desks, chairs, cabinets, et cetera) Mount cabinets, bookshelves and tackboards Install furniture according to blueprints and/or job tickets Work with job tickets to mobilize installation projects Prep and clean job site Assemble furniture as needed Reconfigure and modify existing furniture and/or disposal and removal Repair furniture as needed Transport and off-load furniture products to job sites Maintain a safe, clean and organized workspace in trucks and in the warehouse Furniture Installer Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED certificate Alaska Driver’ License (military installations require RealIDs by October 2022) Familiarity with hand tools and power tools Ability to follow directions Ability to solve problems as they arise from unexpected situations Physical strength to perform heavy lifting, crawling around on hands and knees, working upside down, working in tight quarters Mechanical skills Arrives on time to all projects in clean, presentable Company-logoed attire Performs duties with a high degree of customer satisfaction and professionalism Punctual, reliable, and has a strong work ethic Location: Fairbanks, Alaska Duration: Permanent Pay: $25.00 per hour or DOE + 401(k) + paid holidays and vacations Shift: Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM Submit resumes to [email protected].
