ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Cleans and polishes fixtures, surfaces, trim, drinking fountains, and wash entrance glass doors, mirrors, piping, doors, etc.
• Vacuums rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture and hard floor area.
• Spot clean carpets (Identify any carpet spots that do not come up with regular spotting methods to the coordinator.)
• Dusts with a microfiber cloth all desks, filling cabinets, chairs, picture frames, window sills and any other furniture and equipment requiring dusting.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Empties wastebaskets and cleans to remove any spots spills or scuffs
• Places new liners in waste cans and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Wash and sanitize telephones.
• Sweep, dust mop and/or dump mop tile, wood, and cement floors.
• Properly secure the designated building areas
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Thoroughly clean restroom partitions and walls. Clean showers.
• Spot clean doors, light switches, counters, partition glass, walls, etc.
• Sweep and mop restroom floors with specified chemical solution.
• Pour water in drain traps one (1) time per week.
• Report to their supervisor any areas that are not possible to clean due to access, buildup or deferred maintenance.
• Complete daily and periodic sign off sheets and turn them in at assigned times.
• Ensure that your custodial closet/area is always neat, organized, stocked and clean (free from clutter, debris, waste, non-specified equipment, food.) and in good working condition. Always report to your coordinator if equipment is not working or damaged.
• Ensure that your cleaning equipment is always kept cleaned and organized, and stocked at the end of each shift
