I'm a dad in his 40s who moved here 5 years ago and have been missing picking music with like minded people. I play rhythm guitar and can take a break, can sing lead or harmonies. I can also kind of fake my way with my upright bass or mandolin. I don't have any material on YouTube or anything, but might work on putting up a few vids of some covers I'm confident with. I'm fully vaccinated, but still social distancing. I know several covers from the likes of Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, Old and in the Way, John Prine, John Hiatt, Nanci Griffith, Lyle Lovett, REK, Jay Farrar, Gary Louris, Townes, Emmylou, Guy, Todd Snider, Hayes Carl, Steve Earl, Rodney Crowl. I also like some of the more modern singer songwriters like Oliver Wood, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Randy Rodgers, and Chris Stapleton. I grew up on Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Willie, John Denver, The Eagles and Air Supply; I've always felt like I landed in the wrong generation, though I do hold Tom Petty, the Cars, and Phil Collins from the 80s with pride. My goal is to make some new musical friends who want to pick maybe 1x week and play the occasional bbq/bday party/brewpub gig - the kind that usually pay in food and beer.
