Doom/Death-Doom/Sludge Bassist/Vocalist to Start or Join a Band

Influences including, but in no way limited to: Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, Coffins, Hooded Menace, Sleep, OM, Weedeater, Temple of Void, Dopethrone, Motörhead, Darkthrone, Entombed, Winter, Celtic Frost, Venom, Ufomammut, Monolord, Conan, Bathory, Windhand, Yob, Melvins, Axegrinder, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, and many others. I listen to quite a lot of music outside of the doom/sludge/metal world as well and incorporate influences from a wide range of sources. I write and arrange music and write lyrics and currently have the groundwork laid out for a few pieces. The most important thing to me for the project is that the sound is strongly rooted in heavy riffs, it can wander off in whatever directions we end up taking it from there. Math is cool so long as we’re not spending more time counting than jamming, complexity is cool so long as learning the material isn’t as much work as having a part time job. Looking for a casual-but-serious level of commitment, with regular weekly practice (weeknights preferred), playing out about once every month or two, and no touring beyond occasional overnight jaunts if they’re cool opportunities. Definitely looking to record as often as possible. I don’t currently have a place to practice, but I figure we could meet up at the Jam Stage in Pawtucket until a better option is available.
