"...but when you step to me like a douche bag I am going to call you out on it." It looks to me like the dude asked you who you had worked with and you lost it. If I was looking for a manager, I'd want to know who they had worked with. I don't see how asking this question is "stepping on you like a douche bag". Probably the reason you're so defensive is that you've never worked with anyone who has had any success at all. There's nothing wrong with that. We all start somewhere, and maybe in the future you will actually learn to be a manager and find success doing it. For now, though, you might want to try a level of humility more appropriate for your evident lack of skill and experience.
