Local tree farm seeking Pesticide Applicator/Equipment Operator
Pesticide Applicators are responsible for safely mixing, loading and applying pesticides. Individual must be able to operate a tractor and other chemical application equipment safely. Individual must also be focused on personal safety as well as the safety of other employees. Private Applicators License and experience with chemical handling and application is preferred but not required. If necessary, employee will be provided training and licensing opportunity.
Candidate must be:
-Focused, detailed and safety oriented
-Familiar with basic tractor/equipment operation
-Prompt and punctual with strong work ethic
-Able to receive and follow detailed instruction
-Able to lift up to 50 pounds to mix and load chemicals
-A good communicator and team member
-Able to work weekends. Flexibility of schedule will be discussed at interview
Employee Responsibilities:
-Mix, load and apply pesticides safely
-Operate chemical application equipment, mower and other land maintenance equipment
-Perform equipment safety checks prior to use
-Maintain a clean and organized work space
-Communicate with supervisor daily for tasks and scheduling
-Perform other tasks pertaining to tree growing
