Multnomah County Residents~ many cats are trapped in live traps and/or taken to the county shelter for safe-keeping if found at large! COLLAR, ID and put a phone # on your cat if you allow him/her outside. There's a county ordinance stating all cats over 6 mths must be licensed. DOGS, too~ micro chip, COLLAR/ID them and LICENSE! It's the best way to get your cat back, should it ESCAPE from inside, sneak out or go wandering too far. The county shelter is located in Troutdale, OR. BEST WISHES to you all~ multcopets.org (search for my lost pet) You can report them missing there as well. They keep them 3 days, by law (after 3 days hold) can spay/neuter and adopt them out.
