Join Latino Outdoors Colorado for another introductory evening bird walk at Barr Lake State Park! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED **Registration Closes on Friday, June 4th,12pm MST** Join Latino Outdoors Colorado for another introductory evening bird walk at Barr Lake State Park, which is on Cheyenne, Ute, and Arapaho land. The event will be led by Rosie Sanchez, a Birder of 14 years and the Rockies and Plains Program Coordinator for Defenders of Wildlife. From 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 6th, we will be doing a 30-minute easy hike each way to the Boardwalk Gazebo at Barr Lake where we will learn how to identify and observe waterfowl, birds of prey, and ecosystems that inhabit healthy bird populations. You will need to bring a small backpack or bag to hold snacks, water, a face mask, sunscreen, chapstick/lip balm with spf, and layers if necessary. Please wear comfy shoes. Avian admirers of all abilities and all ages are welcome. This event is free and park entrance will be waived for participants. Anyone who feels sick or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 should stay home. In the case that someone begins displaying symptoms during an outing, they will be escorted back to their vehicle to go home and rest or separated from others until they can go home.
