Description
I have 1 male shaft tail finch to rehome
I purchased what I was told was a male and female a couple of months ago. They either straight up lied or couldn't tell they were both males.
Even though I have them both in a huge flight cage (just the 2 of them) because its breeding season and there are other finches in the room, they are constantly squabbling with each other. To be more specific, they are trying to mate with each other and that is NOT going over too well! Needless to say, I need to rehome one of them and then purchase a female.
They look identical. The pic is of them both but I'm rehoming ONE
They are aprox 2 years old.
I am asking $50 for a rehoming fee which is a firm price. They usually sell for $80
I can meet in the Duncan area. I will bring him in a small cage to show you but cage is not included. I will bring a small cardboard bird carrier and I can either put him in that for you to take home or if you would like to bring your own cage, I will put him in your cage for you.
Shaft tail finches are about the size of a zebra finch. They have cute little meep sounds and the males have a funny whistle that sound like something a laser gun would make 'pew pew peeeew'
I'd recommend looking it up on youtube if you would like to hear it. It surprised me the first time, then just makes me laugh.
Also, please google the shaft tail finch if you are wanting to put him in a cage with other finches. They can be housed with other finches but are more like zebra finches in their personality so please make sure they are compatible. They of course should never be put with any hook beaks such as parakeets. A Parakeet would kill a little finch.
If interested, please email me when is a good time for you to meet up. I can meet up in a public place such as a gas station/grocery store and daytime only.
