Do you or someone you know wish they could learn or improve their skills in volleyball? Private lessons are often expensive and hard to find. Many volleyball players struggle to improve their skills without valid coaching. Well, now there is a solution to all these problems. Starting June 6th there will be a free clinic at Morton Park every Sunday from 9am-11am. Have questions? Hopefully, there are answered below Where: Morton Park, 52 Morton Ave, Newport RI, 02840 When: 9 am-11 am Every Sunday Who am I: I recently graduated NVU-Johnson with a degree in Sports Management focused in coaching. I’ve played 4 years of NCAA D-III Indoor Volleyball, 2 years in the NECVL, and 7 years of Beach volleyball experience at a high level. I’ve had 5 years of coaching experience across two sports and also was a RIIL certified official for the high school level. What level of play should I be to join? Do you know what a Volleyball is? If you answered yes, then your qualified. If you said no, why are you still reading this post? Honestly, I can help beginners learns or advance players improve certain skills. Is it any age? Right now, the event is 12+. The reason is to make sure the practice can be practical for all ages. If there is a demand for a younger group, I can arrange that. Is it really free? It is 100% free. This is for a couple of reasons. First, I'm trying to improve my coaching skills. Next, the park is free, and I already own all the necessary equipment. Finally, the main reason is that I'm currently working on building a nonprofit that focuses on reducing the cost of volleyball for low-income families. This clinic is the first step of many to spread the word about it and myself. Do I need anything? Just bring yourself and a water bottle. A volleyball is a plus, but I have 10 available already.
