KINGS POINT, NY — A Queens man called Kings Point Police Department's headquarters Sunday night and threatened to blow it up, Nassau County police said. Detectives said the Kings Point police received a phone call from Michael Mortman, 61, of Rockaway Park at about 10:30 p.m., and during the call he "made a verbal threat" to blow up the department. Sixth Precinct detectives located Mortman after a "thorough investigation," and "placed him under arrest without incident," police said. Mortman was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony, and second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor, according to police. He was arraigned on Monday in Mineola, police said.
