An update for those of you who were part of rescuing 11 ducklings that fell into a storm drain near the Muskegon Dog Park yesterday...
As I walked down to the water yesterday with the box of ducklings, I thought I saw a duck fly overhead. When I reached (what looked like) a launch ramp, I put them (well, actually sorta 'tossed' them as they were swimming quickly away, and I thought they might get separated) in the water. The entire group (except "Leroy" who was last to go and didn't have his GPS turned on and turned 'left' initially but eventually caught up with his brothers and sisters) immediately swam to the shore opposite the launch ramp and scrambled up and out of the water and into the underbrush.
As soon as they did, a duck came out of the underbrush from about 10' away, went into the water, and swam towards where the ducklings had disappeared. When she got there, the 11 ducklings quickly reappeared, jumped into the water, and surrounded "Mom."
Family Reunited.
Good job, guys, and thanks for all the help you provided.
