San Diego County health officials reported 58 new COVID-19 cases Sunday and for the third straight day, no deaths.
The numbers of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 rose by four to 115, while one more person required intensive care, for a total of 42.
With the new numbers, the county's case total rose to 280,208, while the death toll remained at 3,756.
The California Department of Public Health reported 1,079 new COVID cases Sunday and seven more deaths to bring the state's total during the pandemic to 3.68 million. The statewide death toll rose to 62,006.
Nationwide, there have been 33.25 million COVID-19 cases and 594,430 deaths, according to the Coronavirus Resource Center at John Hopkins University of Medicine.
Meanwhile, on the vaccination front:
Locally 1.5 million people are fully vaccinated.Statewide, 17.3 million have received both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one of the Johnson & Johnson. Nationally, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 135.1 million Americans are fully vaccinated.
