The Drink: Leo Steen + Rootdown Wines Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY:The Tasting Room Sales position is one of the key brand ambassadors for The Drink, Healdsburg: representing both Leo Steen Wines and Rootdown Wine Cellars. This position will handle all weekend wine tastings as well as bottle sales for the Tasting Room. In addition, this position will have the option to work on Private Events and additional community experiences such as Wine Club pick-up parties, concerts, bingo nights, etc. This position reports directly to the owners and is encouraged to bring to the table new ideas on how to expand brand visibility and profit. This position has growth potential for the right candidate as we just launched this space in late 2020 and have much we want to accomplish.DETAILS OF OPERATIONS REQUIRED:DAILY TASKS:* Wine Tasting - Represent each brand and their wines in a professional and educational tone. Close sales by upselling more bottles and/or Wine Club Memberships.* Computer Software - Square, Vinespring, Tock* Cleanliness - Keep a clean and organized Tasting Room and patio. Sanitizing required between each turnover of guests including cleaning and polishing wine and water glasses.* Wine - Manage replenishment of fridges, shelves, etc.* Merch - Re-stock as needed and keep looking tidy* Cleaning - ensure space is clean with opening and closing procedures.TASTING ROOM SHIFTS: Fri-Sun, 11:30 - 7 (Tasting Room is open 12-6p)* Ideally we would like a candidate available every weekend, but flexible to what you can offer us.* We also offer tastings daily by appointment if interested in picking up more hours.
